NBCU has been repositioning its core general entertainment channel as part of a global strategy to focus it on character-driven programming. The process started with the Asian version of the channel.
The channel has a new logo, on-air look and feel and programming line-up, which includes A+E’s Psycho-inspired drama series Bates Motel (pictured).
Lee Raftery, executive VP, Marketing, NBCUniversal International Television, said: “We arrived at our unique positioning because we believe that great characters are the magnets that draw viewers back to their favorite shows – week after week.”
