BBC Earth launching on ProSieben’s Maxx

ProSiebenSat.1’s upcoming male-skewing digital channel Maxx has inked a programming deal with BBC Worldwide for over 300 hours of natural history and wildlife content.

Maxx will run a BBC Earth block that will house the content from BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of UK pubcaster the BBC.

Titles covered in the deal include Deadly 60, The Secret Life of Crocodiles and Life Below Zero.

Maxx will launch on September 3 and the BBC Earth block a day after and twice a day thereafter. There will also be additional two- and three-hour-long prime time highlights shows on selected Saturdays.

Earlier this week it announced plans and the programming line-up for its kids strand.
