Rai Yoyo seasons schedule with more Peppa

Italian public children’s channel Rai Yoyo has acquired seasons five and six of Entertainment One-sold animated series Peppa Pig.

The much-travelled kids series has scored well on the Rai channel, where it airs as Peppa.

The new episodes will be aired in English, with only the opening credits in Italian, to help develop language skills among Rai’s preschool audience.

“We’re always looking for ways to use entertainment as a tool for learning. The day-to-day activities that Peppa and her family experience in the show are things that all children can relate to in their everyday lives, which make it the perfect vehicle to help teach English in a fun and entertaining way,” said Rai Ragazzi (Rai Kids) managing director Massimo Liofredi.

The show launched in 2004, produced by Astley Baker Davies for Channel 5 and Nick Jr.
