Banijay sends Missionaries to Germany
Banijay has sold its French-originated forma The Missionaries to German free-to-air channel Kabel Eins.
The show was created by French indie La Concepteria and follows troubled teenagers as they emabark on a life-changing project to help a community in need by, for example, building a school.
Kabel Eins will show a 4x90mins version of the show, which will be known as Endstation Wildnis – Letzte Chance für Teenager (Last Chance for Teens) locally.
In France the show has aired successfully on free-to-air commercial broadcaster TF1. It has also been licensed to Antena 3 in Spain.
Katja Hofem, general manager kabel eins, said, “We are happy that we have acquired this strong and life-changing format.”
