Oz’s Network Ten picks up Reign and raft of LA Screenings shows

Reign_1Australian free-to-air broadcaster Network Ten has told TBI the shows it has selected from this year’s LA Screenings, which include CBS’ hotly-tipped period drama Reign.

Ten has output deals with CBS and Fox and has chosen a raft of new shows from the Studios.

From CBS Studios International it has Reign, the series, described as “a period drama with a 90210 feel” that is produced by CBS Studios and is part of The CW’s autumn line-up. Another buzzy screenings series, also for The CW, Star Crossed will also be on Ten.

The Australian net has also take a pair of CBS comedies, CBS-produced and distributed, Tony Shalhoub (Monk) fronted We Are Men and Will Arnett series The Millers. Both will be on CBS in the US.

The CBS deals are rounded out with Under the Dome, the summer series for the CBS network based on the Stephen king book and private investigator series, King and Maxwell,which will be on TNT in the US.

In 2014, Ten will also get CBS’ legal drama Reckless.

From the 20th Century Fox Television Distribution line-up Ten has Sleepy Hollow, the TV reboot of the eponymous hit movie. The K/O Paper Products and 20th Century Fox Televison-produced series will be on Fox in the US.

The 24 reboot, 24: Live Another Day, and midseason Gillian Anderson drama Crisis, will be on Ten.

Robin Williams comedy The Crazy Ones and Dads, both for CBS in the US, have also been picked up as has cable drama Witches of East End, which will be on female-skewing Lifetime in the US.

James Van Der Beek/Brooklyn Decker sitcom Friends With Better Lives, meanwhile, will air next year on Ten.

Ten’s line-up of US programming follows that of Seven, which TBI revealed earlier this week.
