A+E taps Disney for Asian sales rep

A+E Networks has poached a sales exec from parent company Disney to become its senior manager, international content sales in Asia.

Pooja Nirmal Kant will oversee programmes sales for southeast Asia, reporting into Ling Sze Gan, A+E’s senior director, international content sales, Asia. She’ll be based out of Singapore and begins her new role today.

Kant was previously Disney’s assistant manager, sales development in southeast Asia and before that worked in sales for NBCUniversal International Television Distribution.

“We are confident that [Kant’s] track record in sales and expertise in the Asian territories will continue to boost our activities within the region,” said A+E’s managing director for international content sales, Marielle Zuccarelli.

The Walt Disney Company co-owns A+E along with Hearst Corporation.
