BBC Worldwide commissions Really Cool Stuff

BBC Worldwide has ordered a fact-ent series for its international channels, Really Cool Stuff (WT).

The series will examine everyday mysteries across its 10x50mins run. It will debut on Worldwide’s BBC Knowledge channel across Africa, Asia, CEE, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Poland and the Nordic region next year. In the EMEA and Lat Am regions it will be on the BBC HD channel.

The show was ordered by Worldwide’s VP of commissioning Tracy Forsyth and will be made by UK indie 360Production. Worldwide will take all international rights to the series.

Really Cool Stuff will be the eighth original series Worldwide has commissioned. The company has pledged to put 100 hours of originals on its branded channels this year.

Other originals include Mox Productions’ Best In Town, Outline Productions’ Million Dollar Intern and BBC-produced Dara O Briain’s Science Club.
