Sky Living orders female-led sitcom

UK pay TV channel Sky Living HD has commissioned a female-led six-part comedy set in the world of product promotions.

Give Out Girls comes from UK indie Big Talk Productions (Friday Night Dinner) and Popper Pictures and will star Kerry Howard (Him & Her), X Factor UK finalist Diana Vickers and others including Tracy-Ann Oberman (Eastenders).

BBC Worldwide has international distribution rights.

The 6x30mins comedy will follow a group of friends in low paying jobs that travel the UK promoting different products.

Sky Living’s parent BskyB has named Saskia Schuster as executive producer, along with Big TalK CEO Kenton Allen and Popper’s Robert Popper. Tony MacMurray and stand up comedian Hatty Ashdown, the latter of whom sent time as a promo girl, wrote the scripts.

Filming begins in Manchester this month.

Give Out Girls follows other original Sky Living comedy commissions such as The Spa, Love Matters and Trying Again.
