NBC rejects Eva Longoria’s Love

Ready for Love_image1US broadcast network NBC has cancelled its new dating format Ready For Love after just two episodes.

The series, which comes from Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria’s UnbeliEVEable Entertainment, Renegade 83 Entertainment and Universal Television, has been replaced in its Tuesday 10pm time slot by scripted fantasy drama Grimm, which moves across from its current Friday position.

The series has failed to use the momentum of having NBC’s biggest show, The Voice, as its lead-in, and did not retain much of the important 18-49 demographic the Talpa Media-created singing competition format provided. NBC’s international sister division NBCUniversal International also gave it a heavy marketing push at MIPTV earlier this month.

The competition reality format saw three matchmakers attempt to find women for three bachelors, with Bill and Giuliana Rancic as hosts.
