NickMom orders first scripted comedy

Nick Jr.’s parent-targeted primetime programming block NickMom has commissioned its first scripted comedy.

13-episode multi-camera series Instant Mom (working title) will star Tia Mowry-Hadrict (Tia & Tamera, pictured) as a young party girl who has to learn to be a step-mum after marrying an older man with three children.
Warren Bell (Victorios, According to Jim) and Jessica Butler (In Plain Sight) are the show’s creators, with Howard Gould and Aaron Kaplan executive producing.
It will debut on NickMom later this year and repeat on Nick at Nite. NickMom currently carries content such as talk shows, stand-up and sketch comedy and docu-series.
