US premium cablenet Starz has bought children’s wildlife game show series Bindi’s Bootcamp from distributor FremantleMedia.
Starz channel Starz Kids & Family will debut the FremantleMedia Australia and Sticky Pictures-produced show on May 1, at 6pm ET/PT. It debuted on Australian net ABC3 in July last year,.
The wildlife competition show is hosted by Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late adventurer Steve Irwin, and sees three teams of two children competing at Australia Zoo to win a trip to participate in an Irwin family conservation programme.
The show is currently broadcasting in about 15 territories across Asia on Discovery Kids, and is expected to begin airing later this year in Italy on Rai.
FremantleMedia has had a multiplatform development deal in place with Bindi, Terri and Robert Irwin since 2010.
