News brief: Marvista adds former HBO exec

US producer-distributor Marvista Entertainment has added a trio of new staff to its ranks, including a former HBO Films development executive.

On the eve of its 10th anniversary of business, the LA-based company has hired Hannah Pillemer as creative executive, Winny Poon as VP and controller and Tony Vassiliadas as director of strategic programs.

Pillemer’s role will have her oversee MarVista’s projects from early development through to delivery and market, working across everything from script development to network pitches. She’ll report to VP, production and development Sharon Bordas.

Poon’s role is a financial one, while Vassiliadas will focus on strategic growth.
