ITVS peers over the Edge at MIPTV

ITV Studios Global Entertainment will launch new BBC Scotland wildlife series Islands on the Edge at MIPTV.

The blue chip nature series, which explores the animal life on Scotland’s wild Hebrides islands, comes from Maramedia and has Hollywood actor Ewan McGregor attached as narrator.

ITVSGE’s head of factual and entertainment Ronan Hand told TBI: “Natural history continues to travel well because it crosses cultural boundaries. I think it will appeal to public networks and genre-specific pay TV channels but also perhaps break out beyond those areas.”

The show launches on BBC Scotland this summer.
