HBO’s TV Everywhere service Go launches in Asia

HBO has launched HBO Go in Asia for the first time. The TV Everywhere service has rolled out in Hong Kong to Now TV customers that also subscribe to HBO.

The Asian version of Go will offer 1,000 hours of the premium programmer’s content, which can be viewed on various devices including PCs, Macs, tablets and smartphones.

Titles available include Game of Thrones, The Newsroom, True Blood, and Veep.

HBO is keen to mitigate the effects of illegal downloading of its shows and said that its top-end US series will be on Go in Hong Kong within twelve hours of their transmission in the US.

The service will launch on Now on February 28. Customers that want to use the service can download a free app from the App Store or Google Play.
