Wizards vs Aliens sells around the world

FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment has shopped Wizards vs Aliens, the action adventure show from the team behind Doctor Who, to a raft of international broadcasters.

In the US, Hasbro and Discovery joint-venture channel The Hub has acquired the show.

it has also sold to the ABC in Australia, HBO Family across Latin America, Canal J in France and Canal+ in Poland.

The show debuted on UK public broadcaster the BBC’s kids channel, CBBC, late last year.

It is produced by BBC Cymru Wales with FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment. It was created by Russell T Davies and Phil Ford – the creative force behind Doctor Who and Torchwood.

“Our number one goal with the creation of Wizards vs Aliens was to produce a global hit that would entertain children and families alike,” said Bob Higgins, executive vice president, FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment. “The global response to this show has been amazing and we can’t wait to extend this zany and clever adventure to more countries throughout the world.”
