Geronimo Stilton hits three

A third season of animated kids series Geronimo Stilton has been greenlit.

Producers Atlantyca and Moonscoop will make the series for Rai Fiction in Italy and France Televisions and M6 in France.

That is the same roster of partners that made the first two seasons of the show, about the titular mouse journalist.

The new season will deliver next autumn. Upon completion, there will be 78x23mins of the kids show in all.

It first launched in September 2009 on Rai 2, with season two launching in October 2011.

Moonscoop CEO Christophe di Sabatino said: “After becoming a classic books series, Geronimo Stilton will become a classic animated TV series with this new third season.”
