Argonon appoints COO

Production and distribution group Argonon has hired Laura Bessell-Martin as its COO.

Bessell-Martin’s previous experience includes stints at Shed Media and UK pay TV operator BSkyB.

The COO role is a new one at Argonon.

The company said it is focused on both strategic acquisitions and commercial exploitation of IP across all areas of the business and that Bessell-Martin will work with all of its divisional bosses.

She will report to CEO James Burstall. He said: “Laura’s extensive experience in both international markets and the M&A arena will be invaluable as we move forward with our acquisition strategy and development of IP across the group.”

Argonon comprises various production banners including Leopard Films, Remedy Productions and the freshly-minted Britespark Films.
