Fox International buys Endemol drama Low Winter Sun

Fox International Channels has struck a deal with Endemol for Low Winter Sun, the US crime drama recently ordered by AMC.

FIC has taken first pay TV window rights for the show across its international channels, excluding North America and France.

The 10-episode series is a scripted format.

The original Low Winter Sun was a two-part miniseries that Endemol-owned Tiger Aspect made for commercial broadcaster Channel 4 for in 2006.

The story of a pair of policeman who murder one of their colleagues, it was well received and won several awards.

The US remake is a copro between Endemol’s LA-based division, Endemol Studios, and AMC. It is written and executive produced by Chris Mundy (Criminal Minds) It will debut on FIC’s channels later this year.
