Canal+ sells events company

Canal+ has sold its sports marketing and events arm Canal+ Events to the unit’s management.

Canal+ Events will continue to be led by its president, Jean-Louis Dutaret and by Samir Boudjemaa, who will now take the post of director-general of the company.

Dutaret said that Canal+ Events would seek to consolidate its position in the sports it currently covered, including tennis, golf, winter sports and athletics, and would develop other disciplines. He said that it would continue to work closely with Canal+.

No details have been released about the purchase price.
