Japan’s TBS inks VTV deal

Japanese commercial broadcaster TBS has cut a coproduction deal with VTV, its counterpart in Vietnam.

The two will jointly work on a new one-off scripted project about the relationship between the two countries.

The as yet untitled drama will feature Japanese and Vietnamese characters and be shot in both countries.

The resulting show will be a two-hour special that will air on both broadcasters next autumn.

The deal was concluded by TBS President Toshichika Ishihara and VTV President Tran Binh Minh.
