Cineflix strikes Asian deals ahead of ATF

International distributor Cineflix Rights has closed a raft of programming deals ahead of Asia Television Forum.

The company has sold series including Head Games, House Hazards, Animal Science and Mayday: Air Crash Investigation to Asian broadcasters including China’s CCTV and Japan’s Nippon Television.

CCTV has acquires season seven of Mayday: Air Crash Investigation and LMNO Productions’ Special Delivery: Baby ER, while Nippon has bought individual episodes of Border Security, which is produced by Australia’s Seven Network, and Weird or What?

Thailand’s True Visions has taken Sharp Entertainment’s 3x1hour science show Head Games, 14x30mins House Hazards, Screentime Productions’ Animal Science, Imagination Productions’ Wildlife at the Zoo and Touch Productions’ I Human.

Vietnam’s HTV has acquired Austin Stevens Adventures, while Korea’s KBS has bough Windfall Films’ Animal Mega Moves.

These deals were brokered by Chris Bluett, sales manager for Asia at Cineflix Rights, who is attending the Asia Television Forum, held this week in Singapore.

Chris Bonney, CEO of Rights, Cineflix Media said: “Broadcasters in the region are looking for fast paced, fun and informative high quality programming which appeals to both male and female viewers. The majority of these deals are for new brands in our catalogue so I’m pleased that we continue to be successful in identifying and providing fresh programming to our clients. We look forward to finalizing more sales at ATF as well as acquiring content for our third party catalogue.”
