BBC One orders Tony Jordan-produced crime drama

BBC One has commissioned a new primetime crime drama produced by Tony Jordan’s Red Planet Pictures.

The British public broadcaster has ordered 6x1hour series By Any Means, which tells the story of a covert police department that, when the legal system fails, goes to any length to bring the criminal elite to justice.

The drama is written and executive produced by Jordan alongside Belinda Campbell and Polly Hill for BBC One.

Red Planet Pictures had success with detective drama Death in Paradise, which is currently in post production for its second season, which launches early next year.

Executive producer Belinda Campbell said: “By Any Means is a gripping crime drama wonderfully crafted by our talented writing team. With the action taking place on cusp of the law, it provides the perfect premise for dramatic scenes, surprise twists and turns in the plot, as well as brilliantly complex and rich characters.”
