Canada’s TVO picks up Neptuno’s preschool series Zoomix

Canadian broadcaster TVO has picked up Neptuno Films’ preschool series Zoomix.

The public broadcaster, which covers the Ontario region of Canada, has acquired the 104x3mins series from the Spanish producer and distributor.

Neptuno expects to announce a number of further deals for the property in the coming weeks following MIPCOM.

The show introduces preschoolers to animal science and explores a different animal in each episode.

“The show entertains kids with true stories and fascinating facts about the lives and habits of animals, because we firmly believe that learning about animals teaches kids to respect the natural world,” Cristina Brandner, MD, Neptuno Films said. “And the fact that the deal happened before MIPCOM was a great way to launch into what was a very busy and successful market for Neptuno Films. We will be announcing several more deals around a string of properties in the coming weeks.”
