CBS orders full seasons of Elementary and Vegas

US network CBS has given full season orders to two of its high profile dramas – Elementary and Vegas.

The broadcaster has given back nine orders to the freshman series after both series rated well; Vegas’ averaged just under 15 million viewers, while Sherlock Holmes-inspired Elementary recorded an average audience of 14.3 million.

This follows the news that CBS cancelled legal series Made In Jersey.

Vegas and Elementary have opened strong, delivering big audiences and winning performances in important time periods,” said Nina Tassler, president, CBS Entertainment. “Each of the shows has rich characters, big stars and a unique visual style that have stood out in the crowd, helping make two of our strongest nights even stronger.”
