ABC orders more Shark Tank

US broadcast network has upped its order for episodes of Shark Tank, the entrepreneurial reality competition show known internationally as Dragon’s Den.

t has ordered two more episodes, which will bring the total for the current fourth season to 24. ABC is also moving the show from a Friday 8pm slot to a 9pm slot to make way for a comedy block that will feature Last man Standing and new series Malibu Country.

Based on the format from Japan’s Nippon TV, Shark Tank is produced by Sony Pictures Television. Mark Burnett and Phil Gurin are among the executive producers.

The news came as several US network ordered more episodes of new and existing series.

The CW has given superhero series Arrow a full season order.

Fox has ordered more episodes of Zooey Deschanel comedy New Girl, bringing its run to 24.
