Lifetime develops new Jennifer Love Hewitt series

US cable network Lifetime is developing a television series based on Jennifer Love Hewitt’s book The Day I Shot Cupid.

This follows the first look deal that Love Hewitt inked between her production company Fedora Films and the A+E Networks-owned broadcaster and comes after the success of The Client List.

Jennifer Love Hewitt told TBI earlier this year that she wanted to produce more scripted series on the back of The Client List and this deal echoes those comments.

The Day I Shot Cupid offers tips on dating and romance and the television remake will be written by Alphas’ Matt Hastings and will be produced in association with Universal Cable Productions.
