Sony makes number of exec changes in Asia

Sony Pictures Television has made a number of changes in its senior executive team across Asia-Pacific.

The international production and distribution arm of the Hollywood studio has promoted Angel Orengo, has moved James Farrell to Tokyo and has upped Mark Young in Australia and New Zealand.

Orengo has been promoted to executive vice president, distribution, Asia-Pacific and will oversee sales of all Sony television series and movies across the region. He will be based in Hong Kong and will continue to oversee in country sales teams in Sydney, Mumbai, Beijing, Seoul and Tokyo. He will report to Keith LeGoy, president, international distribution.

Meanwhile, the company has relocated Farrell from Toronto to Tokyo to become senior vice president, distribution, Japan. He will sell across all distribution platforms including free-to-air, pay TV, digital, online and mobile.

Separately, Mark Young has been promoted from vice president, distribution, Australia and New Zealand to senior vice president, distribution, Australia and New Zealand.
