Power sells 3D croc-doc to China

Chinese broadcaster and media firm Hualu has acquired 3D documentary Dragon’s Feast from international distributor Power.

The deal is the first time that Power has closed a 3D programming deal and comes after it acquired international rights to the title from natural history producer NHU Africa.

Hualu has acquired the free-to-air TV rights, home video and video-on-demand rights to the wildlife series.

Dragon’s Feast is a one-hour doc that looks at the crocodile and features footage of divers getting close to the creatures in Botswana’s Okavango Delta.

Power CEO Susan Waddell said: “We are thrilled to have concluded a deal on our first 3D title so soon after obtaining it. It is testament to the quality and commercial appeal of our premium wildlife product and adds further impetus to Power’s expansion into factual distribution.”
