Tele Munchen Gruppe managing director Dirk Schweitzer is leaving the German producer and distributor and will be replaced by Herbert L. Kloiber.

Schweitzer was responsible for the company’s content licensing business and also looked after its home entertainment and digital distribution divisions.

Herbert L. Kloiber, the son of Dr. Herbert Kloiber, chairman and shareholder of TMG, will replace Schweitzer as managing director. He was previously general manager, French speaking territories and head of business development in Western Europe. Before working for TMG, he held positions at the On Demand Group in London and Bruno Wu’s Sun Media Investment Holding in Beijing and New York.

Schweitzer said: “Due to purely personal reasons I have decided to move my main place of residence back to Cologne. I thank Dr. Kloiber for the trust he placed in me as well as the outstanding collaboration.”

Herbert L. Kloiber added: “After many instructive years in the international media industry I am delighted to contribute my experience, specifically of the digital markets as a member of the senior management team in order to continue and influence TMG’s outstanding growth story going forward.”
