Breakthrough breaks through into home entertainment

Breakthrough Entertainment has launched a new home entertainment division.

The Toronto-based producer and distributor has rolled out a direct-to-consumer unit BreakthroughHomeEntertainment.com.

It will be run by the company’s president of distribution, Nat Abraham, and at launch will offer consumers the chance to buy three of its series: comedy show Less than Kind, and factual series Greatest Tank Battles and Battlefield Mysteries.

The service is currently only available in Canada, but Breakthrough said it plans to launch it in other international territories.

“Breakthrough’s programming has developed a strong following here in Canada and we believe that the establishment of Breakthrough Home Entertainment is the optimum way to address a growing appetite among fans of our shows who want to own our titles,” said Abraham.
