CME hires new boss for VOD service Voyo

Central and Eastern European broadcaster Central European Media Enterprises (CME) has made a number of senior appointments including a new boss for its video-on-demand service Voyo.

The company has promoted Constantin Mocanu to senior vice president and head of Voyo. Mocanu was previously general director of Pro TV, its Romanian broadcaster.

As part of the move Voyo will become part of CME’s broadcasting division as it looks to increase focus on the service and expand its as a paid distribution platform.

Following Mocanu’s promotion, Pro TV head of television Anca Budinschi will become general director of the station. Budinschi has worked at CME for 19 years.

Mocanu will remain as general director of Pro TV until the end of the year and will take the Voyo role full time in January 2013.
