MTV cuts raft of programming deals in CEE and CIS markets

Viacom International Media Networks has concluded numerous deals for MTV and Nickelodeon programming across the CEE region and Russia and the CIS states.

Several deals have been inked for branded blocks of Nickelodeon programming.

NTK in Kazakhstan will start airing a Nickelodeon branded block featuring Wonderpets, iCarl, Penguins of Madagascar and Legend of Korra.

MRTV in Macedonia, LNK in Lithuania and Markiza in Slovakia also signed on for Nick branded blocks.

Elsewhere, Russia’s free to air “kidult” channel 2×2 has acquired a package of MTV reality and stunt shows including Jackass and Nitro Circus. It has also bought animated series Crash Canyon and Legend of Korra.

CME in Romania has picked up a package of preschool, kids and young adult programming. Titles include Disaster Date, Engaged & Underaged and SpongeBob SquarePants.
