Imira strikes Spanish kids deals

Kids producer and distributor Imira Entertainment has closed a raft of third party deals in Spain ahead of MIPCOM.

Spanish public broadcaster RTVE has picked up two shows including live action series Lightning Point, which is produced by Jonathan M. Shiff and ZDF Enterprises and 52x13mins Sherlock Yack Zoo Detective, which is produced by France’s Mondo TV.

Separately, Televisió de Catalunya has bought 65x26mins Clifford The Big Red Dog and its spinoff series 39x26mins Clifford Puppy Days.

Christophe Goldberger, producer and head of distribution and marketing at Imira Entertainment, said: “As our domestic market, our relationships with Iberian broadcasters is one of the foundations of our distribution business and we are pleased to announce further third party deals following on from a significant number of sales in the region earlier this year. Our library is proven to be consistently popular not just in Spain but across Hispanic markets worldwide.”
