Sony rejigs management structure for EMEA channels

Sony Pictures Television Networks has launched a new management structure across Europe and has promoted two of its key executives

The international channels arm of the Hollywood studio has split the EMEA region into two: Western Europe; and Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa

Kate Marsh has been promoted to senior VP, Western Europe and will add Iberia, Netherlands, Scandinavia and France to her existing remit covering the UK and Italy

Meanwhile, Lyle Stewart has been promoted to senior VP, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMA), adding Central Europe, Turkey, Greece and the Middle East to his existing territories, which include Germany, Russia, the Baltics and Africa.

Sony said that the changes are effective immediately. Both executives report to Andy Kaplan, president of SPT Networks.

He said: “Following a significant period of expansion in EMEA, it is clear that to accomplish the next stage of our growth it is time to look at the region in two parts. Kate and Lyle’s contributions to SPT Networks over the years have been significant, making them the right fit to lead these territories into the future.”
