US Cable Upfronts 2012: Style

Female skewing US cable network Style is aggressively ramping up the amount of original series it launches.

The NBC Universal-owned broadcaster is increasing the amount of original series by a quarter and is launching five new series with a further six in active development.

New launches including Jerseylicious spinoff Chicagolicious, which is produced by Endemol USA, Ish Entertainment reality series Empire Girls: Julissa & Adrienne, property format Ultimate Home with Bill Rancic, Betsey + Lulu, a Magical Elves produced series that follows fashion icon Betsey Johnson and her daughter, and event planning series Party Fabulous Vegas, produced by Gay Rosenthal Productions.

Series in development include The Cat Deeley Celebrity Project, produced by A. Smith Productions and following the So You Think You Can Dance star, Left/Right’s House of Fab starring Kimora Lee Simmons, Endemol’s property series Built, FremantleMedia’s Celebrity Closet Confidential, My Tupelo Entertainment’s hair and makeup series Absolutely MARvelous and Pop Style.
