Endemol sells Brooker’s Black Mirror abroad

Charlie Brooker’s dark drama Black Mirror is to launch across Australia, Israel, Spain and Scandinavia after distributor Endemol closed a raft of deals.

Endemol Worldwide Distribution has sold the drama into 21 territories ahead of MIPTV.

Broadcasters including SBS (Australia), Hot Vision (Israel), SVT (Sweden) and both Turner and Mediaset in Spain have acquired the series. It has also closed a pan regional deal in Central and Eastern Europe that covers 15 CIS territories including Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary and is in the process of closing a deal in China.

Black Mirror is three standalone hour long dramas created by former Guardian writer Brooker. It originally aired on Channel 4 in the UK.
