Canada’s Peace Point launches distribution arm

Canadian production company Peace Point is launching a new international distribution arm and has hired former Power exec Eric Muller to run it.

The company, which is known for producing factual and lifestyle formats, is launching Peace Point Rights and the division will debut at MIPTV in Cannes.

Muller, who was previously VP, international sales, Powercorp International, becomes VP, international sales and acquisitions. Julie Chang becomes VP, business affairs and North American acquisitions.

The company will be launching a raft of new series at the market including cooking series Bake with Anna Olson, science series SuperBodies, gay travel show Bump!, trash format Hammer and Chew: Lords of Junk and Ed’s Up, a dirty jobs format fronted by Barenaked Ladies singer Ed Robertson.

“After ten successful years of producing award winning content that has resonated with viewers worldwide, the launch of Peace Point Rights is a natural next step in our company’s growth,” said Peace Point CEO and president Les Tomlin.
