Imira closes Fred deals ahead of MIP

Imira Entertainment has sold animated kids series Lucky Fred in a number of new countries ahead of MIPTV.

The series, which has already been sold in 155 territories, has been picked up by RTM in Malaysia, e-Vision in UAE, TG4 in Ireland and Kidz in Turkey.

The 52x12mins series, which is aimed at 6-12 year olds, is coproduced by Imira, Spain’s Televisió de Catalunya, RAI Fiction in Italy and Top Draw Animation in the Philippines.

It has already been sold to TF1 for France; Disney Channel in Spain, France, Italy, Germany, India, Israel & Australia and Nickelodeon in Benelux, Scandinavia, Latin America, Asia & South Korea.

The company will be launching its interactive app based on the show in Cannes, which features a geo-localised alien hunt.
