Content to sell series from Target following administration

Content Television is to distribute the series previously sold by Target Entertainment after the latter went into administration.

However, Content is not acquiring Target Entertainment or the assets of the company.

TBI exclusively broke the news in February that Metrodome was looking to sell Target Entertainment, before calling in administrators BDO on February 28.

Content will work with the producers of Target series and hopes to start selling some programmes at MIPTV.

Target previously distributed series including kids shows Fifi and the Flowertots and Roary The Racing Car as well as reality series including Tamara Ecclestone: Billion $$ Girl.

Greg Phillips, president of Content Television said: “We are well known to many of the companies’ producers and look forward to the opportunity to introduce our experienced distribution capabilities to many others.  Our role is to help producers transition the ongoing distribution from the companies to Content as quickly and efficiently as possible and to then look to maximise the ongoing cash flow from that distribution.  If we can achieve consent quickly we should be able to start this process at the forthcoming MIPTV market and during the sales follow up to that market.”
