Goldcrest Films’ TV division will launch at MIPTV and its launch slate has been announced.
The new TV division will be run by Christina Willoughby, the former Channel 4 International boss.
Goldcrest’s MIPTV slate comprises documentaries and feature films.
Docs include The Tsunami and the Cherry Blossom, the one-off film about how survivors of Japan’s Tsunami find the courage to revive and rebuild as cherry blossom season begins.
There is also Restrepo, the one-off doc following a platoon of US soldiers in Afghanistan and Stolen Seas, about Somali pirates.
The feature line-up includes Dark Horse starring, among others, Christopher Walken and psychological thriller A Thousan Kisses Deep, starring Dougray Scott.
