Netflix picks up Being Human

US online streaming service Netflix is to air both the British and US versions of sci-fi drama Being Human after striking a deal with Zodiak Rights.

The deal will see the video-on-demand service air four seasons of Being Human UK and two seasons of Being Human US.

The original show is produced by Touchpaper Television, part of Zodiak Media, for BBC Three. It was subsequently adapted by Muse Entertainment for Syfy in the US and CTV in Canada.

This move follows similar deals for Beta Films’ Borgia and SevenOne International’s Lilyhammer and comes after the company announced its intentions to move into original programming with the launch of David Fincher-directed House of Cards.
