Galer becomes president of FremantleMedia France

Monica Galer has been appointed president of FremantleMedia’s French operation. Galer becomes the first-ever president of FremantleMedia’s French division, having spent the last two years as CEO of Northern and Southern Europe at the producer and distributor.

During that spell she oversaw new management teams coming in at FremantleMedia’s operations in the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Belgium. She was also CEO of FremantleMedia France through that two-year period.

FremantleMedia France has produced series including The Farmer Wants a Wife (L’amour est dans le pré) and a local versions of The Price is Right (Le Juste Prix), Password (Mot de Passe), Idols (La Nouvelle Star), Got Talent (La France a un incroyable talent), X Factor and Supernanny on Galer’s watch.

Galer is also a member of FremantleMedia’s IP Leadership group, which steers the group’s international creative agenda.
