Sony’s Pan Am takes off internationally

A raft of international broadcasters have picked up Sony’s period drama Pan Am following the LA Screenings.

Sony Pictures Television has closed deals with broadcasters including Japan’s Imagica BS and Spanish pay TV broadcaster Canal+ and its sister regional pay TV channel Sony Entertainment Television across Latin America.

These are the latest deals for the show, which stars Christina Ricci, following sales to French broadcaster TF1, Australia’s Nine Network and Canada’s CTV.

Pan Am, which is produced by Sony Pictures Television in association with Jack Orman Productions, Out of the Blue Entertainment and Shoe Money Productions, is set in 1963 and follows a group of Pan Am stewardesses as they combine romance and international espionage.
