BBC brings Benidorm Bastards to Britain

British public broadcaster the BBC is to produce a UK version of Belgian hidden camera format Benidorm Bastards after striking a deal with distributor SevenOne International.

This comes after US network NBC ordered twelve episodes of the format, which will be produced by Kinetic Content.

BBC One has commissioned CPL Productions, the production company that came out of Celador Productions, to produce the local version, which will be known as Off Their Rockers. A pilot episode is currently in development.

No doubt, the show is one of the hottest comedy shows at the moment and we are absolutely thrilled to join forces with BBC One and CPL.”
