FremantleMedia appoints Ian Hogg as Asia boss

FremantleMedia has appointed its Australian boss Ian Hogg to run its entire Asian operation following the departure of Patrick Schult.

Hogg, who is currently chief executive of FremantleMedia Australia, will become chief executive, Asia Pacific. This comes after Schult, who had been with the RTL-owned company for 24 years, announced in March his departure.

Hogg, who has been with FremantleMedia since September 2009 following stints at Network Ten, Prime Media Group and MGM, will report to Simon Spalding, regional chief executive, Europe and Asia Pacific.

“We see enormous potential for the Asia Pacific region and Ian brings a unique combination of experience and expertise that combines knowledge of both the region and our company,” said Spalding.
