Northern Alliance buys up more Nordic producers

Northern Alliance Group (NAG) has acquired another two Nordic production companies, Titan Television and Limelight Film&TV. Having recently acquired Swedish drama producer Nice, the company is fast expanding within the Nordic region.

Swedish producer Titan itself acquired Norwegian counterpart Limelight and both will now be absorbed into NAG. Founded by Thomas Hedberg and Anette Beijer, Titan has over twenty series in production. Limelight specialises in reality programming.

NAG noted that Titan is one of the largest production companies in Sweden and the acquisition represents a strategically important move in its expansion within the Nordic countries. CEO Morten Aass said: “As a result of the acquisition of Titan, NAG now is the largest independent company by far on the Nordic market with a turnover of more than €100 million”

Financial details of the Titan deal were not disclosed.

NAG was created in 2009 when private equity outfit Capman merged its three Scandinavian production companies and acquired Swedish producer Baluba. It comprises production companies including Denmark-based Gong, Norway-based Monster and Finland-based Moskito Group.
