Banijay takes rights to new gameshow from Electus

Production and distribution group Banijay International has picked up French and Scandi production rights to Momentum, a new gameshow format from Notional, which is part of Ben Silverman’s Electus.

Banijay-owned French producer Air will make a 60-minute pilot of a local French version for France 2, which will be fronted by well-known French host and Air founder Nagui.

Billed as Wheel of Fortune meets 24, the wordplay gameshow was created by Electus-owned production company Notional.

The deal was struck between Banijay and Notional and Electus’ distribution arm Electus/EngineDistribution.
