Al Jazeera Children’s Channel looks at more movie investments

Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC) is weighing investing in several more movies after the launch of animated feature Seefood at MIP TV last week.

JCC’s Executive general manager Mahmoud Bouneb told TBIvision that it is looking at several other movie investments following the release of Seefood, which was financed by JCC, animation studio Silver Ant and Malaysia’s MDeC and the country’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

A DVD release will follow the roll out of the movie this summer and it will also play on JCC.

The movie follows the adventures of a shark named Pup who is seeking to rescue eggs stolen by poachers from his reef.
