MIP TV numbers remain flat

The number of attendees at MIP TV was exactly the same as last year, according to organisers.

The event, which is held in Cannes, recorded 11,500 executives including 4,000 buyers, which was the same number that they announced in April 2010.

This comes as next year’s event has been pushed back and will start on Saturday 31 March. MIP TV 2012 will run from Saturday 31 March to Tuesday 2 April, rather than its traditional Monday to Thursday line up, as a result of the Easter holidays.

The highlight of this year’s event was undoubtedly the appearance of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was promoting his new animated series The Governator, and the Terminator actor held a number of press conferences and dinners and met with key international buyers.
