Red Arrow buying UK indie Mob Film

Red Arrow is buying 51% of The Mob Film, the UK-based drama and documentary producer.

Red Arrow, the content division of German-based broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1,said it is in the final stages of sealing a deal for control of the producer, which produces the TV versions of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld books.

Headed by managing director Jan Frouman, Red Arrow has been acquiring production companies internationally including Sultan Sushi in Belgium, Snowman in Scandinavia and Kinetic in the US.

It had already set up an office, run by Joel Denton and James Baker, but the Mob Film deal is its first acquisition into the UK.  

ProSiebenSat.1’s distribution arm SevenOne Entertainment will sell the production company’s content internationally.
